Both devices feature a 6.1” display. The key difference, however, is that the iPhone 11 has a liquid retina HD display while the iPhone 12 has a super retina XDR display which gives the 2020 iPhone a better viewing experience.

Ultra-Wide and Wide features didn’t see any upgrade and were maintained in the 2020 edition across the board for the 4 new iPhones.

No extra zoom capacity has been added hence both have the 2x optical zoom range.

When it comes to video watching, you have Up to 17 hours of video playback on both devices.

Face ID is also been maintained. No upgrades.

In terms of Storage, both devices come in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB. Note that more is paid for higher storage capacity.

When it comes to image taking, the main difference is in the aperture for the wide and the HDR Technology. The iPhone 11 has Next-generation Smart HDR for photos while the iPhone 12 has Smart HDR 3 for photos.

Other camera photo features they have in common include:

Video recording is the same with a slight but profound upgrade to the 2020 iPhone. It features HDR video recording with Dolby Vision up to 30 fps. It also has Night mode Time-lapse, a cool feature if you ask me.
