Apple created a new screen protection technology called Ceramic Shield which has been added to the front of the phone. The ceramic shield is said to deliver 4x better drop performance as it works with the Aerospace-grade aluminium. This makes it Compatible with the new MagSafe accessories and wireless chargers. The display is a 6.1” Super Retina XDR display. Water-resistance to a depth of 6 meters for up to 30 minutes is a slight upgrade from the iPhone 11.
Similarities Between the Two Devices
Both devices feature a 6.1” display. The key difference, however, is that the iPhone 11 has a liquid retina HD display while the iPhone 12 has a super retina XDR display which gives the 2020 iPhone a better viewing experience.
Ultra-Wide and Wide features didn’t see any upgrade and were maintained in the 2020 edition across the board for the 4 new iPhones.
No extra zoom capacity has been added hence both have the 2x optical zoom range.
When it comes to video watching, you have Up to 17 hours of video playback on both devices.
Face ID is also been maintained. No upgrades.
In terms of Storage, both devices come in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB. Note that more is paid for higher storage capacity.
