What makes a phone the best phone? Is it the power, the design, the features, or some other factor? The truth is, phones work as a unit. Therefore we cannot conclude that a smartphone is the best simply because it excels at one factor.
You may want the latest flagship phone from the world’s top smartphone manufacturers like Apple and Samsung. However, these phones don’t come cheap. The best smartphones are those that provide a healthy balance of the various factors including price and still make for a good purchasing decision.
Smartphones are personal devices. As much as I may need a phone with a good camera, a different person may place emphasis on speed and performance. Yet again, another user may want a combination of a good battery, processing, and great display. Therefore, the decision to buy a smartphone and which phone is the best depends on the buyer.
However, there are phones which stand out among the various packs. They shine in a combination of factors making them good all-around smartphones. They are usually the flagship smartphones the leading smartphone manufacturers come up with. Most flagship phones are very expensive and on the high end. This means not everyone can afford them. Manufacturers have taken to making variants of their high-end flagship phones, removing some features or using cheaper materials to beat the price down. This gave the rise to “Plus”, “Ultra” and “Max” devices.
In this article, we will start with the all-around flagship phones down to other great options in the market right now. The phones are based on releases of 2020 and 2021.

The power is usually higher in order to match the demands of the bigger size.

Also, you can only attach the pen to a case. You don’t want all that hassle. The Samsung Note 20 Ultra is still a very competitive option even as the best smartphone out there.
The Note series is made for power users – performance, battery life, storage. Everything is on point.. You cannot go wrong with this device. 6. Samsung S20 Plus
The S20 Plus may sound a little distant. That may be because it was released early in 2020.
As the best phone Samsung released in 2020, it still has a lot of value for anyone looking for a great smartphone at a lower budget. The device may not be the cheapest in the market but Samsung prices become discounted after a couple of months in the market, unlike Apple devices which have prices staying the same for years after release.
The Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus spec-wise and actual performance-wise is still a beast in the face of newer devices. It has a 6.7″ with 1440 by 3200 pixels display. The battery capacity of 4500 mAh can take you up to 87 hours after the initial charge.

7. Google Pixel 5
Google devices are relatively unknown when it comes to the mass market. However, they are some of the best devices out there. Google focuses on a few key things every great device needs such as performance and camera and makes those very good. They use a minimalist design which does not add to the cost of the device.
The 2020 Google Pixel 5 is no different. The device is relatively small, the smallest in this list with a 6” 1080×2340 pixels display.
It runs on the Snapdragon 765G 5G with a RAM capacity of 8GB. Storage options are limited to only 128GB with no support for expandable storage. Well, what can we say? Everything is minimal. You either like the device or you hate it.

8. OnePlus 9
OnePlus is not the most popular smartphone brand in Ghana. In fact, there are few OnePlus devices on the Tonaton platform. That doesn’t beat its performance regardless. OnePlus has built a reputation for making what consumers want and removing any “Unnecessary” feature and design to make their devices truly productive at a fraction of the price of flagship manufacturers like Samsung and Apple.
However, their phones have increased in price over time while still providing flagship features and specifications for a lesser cost.
The OnePlus 9 is the latest device from OnePlus. It was released in March 2021. The device has a 6.55” 1080×2400 pixels display with a 50-megapixel camera sensor which shoots at 4320p. The core consists of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 5G and a choice of 8/12GB RAM.
